Le Carnaval de Venise a lieu tous les ans pendant une douzaine de jours qui précèdent Mardi gras. Apparu vers le Xe siècle puis aboli par Napoléon en 1797, il est réapparu dans les années 70 et c’est aujourd’hui un des Carnavals les plus connus et qui voit venir des gens du monde entier !

Avec différents styles qui s’affrontent au niveau des déguisements, entre ceux traditionnels inspirés de la commedia dell’arte ou du grand n’importe quoi !!

“Merveille de l’Occident”, le Mont-Saint-Michel se dresse au coeur d’une baie envahie par les plus grandes marées d’Europe.

Une première église y fut fondée dès 709 en l’honneur de l’archange Saint Michel.
Au XIème siècle, l’église abbatiale romane fut fondée au niveau de la pointe du rocher. Au XIIIème siècle, une donation du roi de France Philippe Auguste permit d’entreprendre l’ensemble gothique.

Ce grand foyer spirituel et intellectuel fut l’un des plus importants pèlerinages de l’Occident médiéval, pour lequel des pèlerins venaient chercher auprès de l’Archange du jugement, peseur des âmes, l’assurance de l’éternité.

Who said that Hong Kong was only buildings and buildings ? One of the most beautiful beaches in HK is the one near Long Ke Village. Very logically it is not so easy to access it, you need a 40$ taxi ride from Sai Kung village to drop off somewhere in the Sai Kung peninsula, where your only choice is to continue on a 2 hours hike over the hills. “Fire dragon dance is the most traditional custom on the Mid-Autumn Festival in Hong Kong, dating back some 100 years. Every year, grand fire dragon shows are performed for three nights in a row in Tai Hang of Causeway Bay starting the 14th of August on the lunar calendar. The fire dragon is more than 70 meters long with its body divided into 32 segments, all of which are stuffed with straw and stuck full of incense sticks. On the festive night, the streets and alleyways in the area are packed with fire dragons joyfully dancing to drum music against the backdrop lit by colored lights, creating a fantastic atmosphere for the festival.” Link
